The last album by Trace was in fact not by Trace: Most Ekseption personnel returned and a singer and storyteller were added. This removed the refreshing and somewhat raw sound from the band.
White Ladies was a concept album around a Dutch folkloristic legend about the White Ladies -the Witte Wieven in Dutch- that you might spot if the mist is over the countryside.
The idea resembled a bit the eary concept album Beggar Julia's Time Trip, but in my opinion White Ladies dit not reach that level by far, the singing and the lyrics were downright weak. On this album you will find only a few classical theme, somewhere I heard Beethoven hopping by. The track The Rescue I liked best.
